An incredibly solid and delicious stout. The cherry elements only really shine through on the nose (especially once the glass is empty for some odd reason), and in the aftertaste (more like the after, after taste). The mouth-feel is awesome, in fact only slightly lighter in body than the John By Imperial Stout IMHO. And ever so drinkable! This stuff just goes down way too easy. It’s basically liquid chocolate with a kick to it.

Poures a dead black in the tulip...decent mocha cap reduces quickly but laces well...low cabonation Aromas are plenty and complex, cocoa, roasted and roasted grains, fruit, hay and a light mustiness. Medium bodied for a stout, large dose of the cocoa and roast in the front then a rush a tart berry tastes and some spicy hopping...longish wet finish with light sweetness and some char. Excellent specialty porter that is very drinkable.

341 ml bottle. pours black/dark brown. very little head that is quickly gone. some mild levels of carbonation. aromas are dark chocolate and cherries. flavours are initially bitter with soothing chocolate coming through near the end. no cherry in the flavour. a bit thin but this brew gets considerably better as it warms. a very drinkable stout.

i got a lot of cherries in the nose from the initial pour....much less in the flavor. very subtle underneath a very basic sweet/milk stout flavor. nothing special...but not bad either. a nice easy drinking stout.

12 oz bottle via Homebrew Myst Swap (thanks Rudolf!). A nice black pour with a huge tan head. Nose is chocolate, roasted grains, caramel. Taste starts and ends sweet, with some caramel, cocoa, oats, vanilla, and a little coffee and soy. The cherries are there but a fairly subtle, perhaps a bit too subtle.Hops are not real noticeable. Carbonation is moderately high, body is light.

Bottle thanks to my festivus master: Pours black with a big tan head leaving nice lacing. Aroma, chocolate, bittersweet chocolate, roasted notes, faint cherries in the nose, though they were more apparent when first poured. Flavor, dark chocolate, roasted notes, tart cherry notes on the finish, roasty and ashy bitterness on the tail end. Not bad, but not very sweet.
