Commercial Description:
This is a darker offering from Black Oak. Rich smooth taste, slightly roasty and chocolaty. It's a bit less hopped, but still has a fantastic balance with the malt.

Clear dark copper color with a head that has settles to a covering of light tan bubbles. Nice toasted malt aromas, with a decent backdrop of herbal hops. Loads of character in the nose for this style. A dark caramel sweetness is swept away quickly by dry floral hops. Some mild cocoa and light walnuts. Long linger of lightly roasted malt. Very enjoyable brown. Of course it is the first beer of the day and I do like malty brews. Thanks Jerc.

Too sweet an aroma - caramel in abundance. Looks nice, tastes really good - you can discern sweetness, nuts, and some coffee. Very smooth and a nice lingering bitterness. This is a winner.

Pours deep clear brown with red hues. Medium sized light tan head. Aroma of toasted malts, light nuttiness, and fresh baked bread. Flavours are quite good, chocolate, caramel, nut oils, earthy, and a bit of spice in the back. Sweet berry flavours show up in the middle. Finish is long and roasty. Great little beer.

Bottle. Clear brown color with a thick tan head and tons of lacing. Aroma is fresh fruits and an earthy breadiness. Taste is mildly roasted with some caramel, coffee and oak. A bit thin on the palate for my likeing and without any real nuttiness. A good pint though.
