Commercial Description:
This is a darker offering from Black Oak. Rich smooth taste, slightly roasty and chocolaty. It's a bit less hopped, but still has a fantastic balance with the malt.

This brown ale pours a ???Dark brown? with next to no head unless poured from 3 feet. Scents are delicous with hints of nuts, roasted barley and a little coffee. First sip was roasty goodness with all around roasted flavours with a little coffee and chocolate. The palate is ongoing roastyness. Much better than the last 2 times I’ve had it!

Coppery ruby brown with a thin head and light lacing. Malty with caramel notes and some nuttiness as hoped for too. Sweet malts (maybe some caramel, maybe some chocolate, maybe some nuttiness) thorugh thin body and into lingering, mouth-coating finish.

Thanks Jercraigs. Light brown with a thick, white, creamy head. Caramel, nutty aroma. Flavour is very interesting, caramel malt, orange/lemon citrus, with good roasted nuttiness. As it warms, roasty, nutty complexity comes to the front. Very good.

Beautiful clear amber brown color with nice thick white head. Roasted nut nose with some burnt notes and almost a chocolate backbone. Medium weight with a slightly dry bitter finish. Flavors of nuts(roasted), chocolate, wood, light coffee and a lingering bitter finish. Not bad at all, thanks jer_craigs!!

An off-white head with a touch of tan. Pale brown in color almost orange/brown. Dark fruit in the nose, not just fruity esters and a nice fresh toasted bread. Horrible flavor profile. Unnecessary sourness. Stinging, almost tongue burning bitterness (not intense, just burning). I found this one closer to paint thinner than beer.

Dark Brown, very nutty indeed. Soft hints of caramel and spice. At the end of an exhausting day I really enjoyed this one with a friend and was ready for seconds!

Draught at the Toronto Beer Festival 2004. Dark copper in appearance. The nuttiness of this beer just screams out, complex and flavourful.
