(Bottle) Thanks to RadioMG-b for bringin this up to Celebration November 2004. It pours a thin, white head with a light carbonation. Hazy orange body. I found the nose sour and lactic with a mild malt. Not what I expected from a saison. The flavours where rather sharp, perhaps a bit too orangy. Not my favourite.

Sort of like a good witbier on steroids, or perhaps a milder/wheatier version of Unibroue’s Fin du Monde. Orange in colour with average carbonation. Yeasty and spicy aromas, cardamom and orange in particular. The flavor is quite wheaty, along with notes of orange rind and a slight bit of horse blanket. Lacks a bit of the refreshing effervescence of Saison Dupont, but this is still a very high quality beer. Thanks radiomgb!

A gift from Jercraigs, thanks! Orange colour with thick yellow head. Very citrusy, sweet aroma. Caramel and a touch of alcohol as well. Light fruit, phenolic and lightly spicy and yeasty. Lots of orange flavour and a hint of tartness. Long, surprisingly bitter finish. Tasty.

Beautiful hazy orange-amber with lasting creamy bubbles on top. Malt and balsamic and yeast and a light mustiness on the nose. Moderately sour mildly spicy flavours of orange and yeast. Lingers nicely but the underlying funkiness I was looking for in a saison was missing. Refreshing and eminently drinkable.

Cloudy orange with thick white head. Yeasty, with orange and spice notes in the nose, triple light aromas. . Light body with clean cleansing finish. Flavors of coriander, yeast and a light citrus sourness. A lot of flavor for not a lot of body. Thanks Jer_craigs!!

Cloudy dark orange-brown color. The nose is yeasty with a light touch of organic hops. Slightly dusty tasting with some banana undertones and a citrusy whisp. Smooth almost flat mouthfeel. Sweet malty fudginess at the front with a touch of dust and an organic hoppiness comes through in the middle. Fades into a bittersweet finish. Yeasty and fun.

Tried it at the Toronto Festival of Beer. Almost orange in appearance and absolutely stunning from the moment it hit my mouth to the moment it was gone. Citrusy flavour and aroma. An exceptionally smooth beer.

On tap at the judge. Taps a cloudy orange with a nice tight frothy cap. Aromas of fresh fruits and spicey yeast smell. Starts tart and citrusy then mellows with a sweet malty departure accented by spice and apricot...finish is clean and refreshing. A much cleaner and refreshing drink than it’s Belgian original...I like this as much as a light hefeweiss for quenching....a very nice brew for the summer.
