There are aromas of pumpkin pie, nutmeg, cinnamon. The flavour of the original brown ale is a bit lost. I taste subtle spices, a bit of water; it has a medicinal element. Mouthfeel seemed a bit watery too. tomthompson89 (1489), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Loads of soap bubbles on brown. Big on cinammon. Drinkable. Not too complicated, original brown ale base adds sweetness to the spice. Decent cask.Average mouthfeel.May have been a tad hops.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 18, 2008 2008-10-17. Dark brown/ mahogany body, modest tan head (3+). Very spicy aroma, allspice? cinnamon? nutmeg? The melange is sufficiently blended that I lack the expertise to tease it apart but its lovely, and the sweet potato undertones go well with it. Flavour has a light bitterness throughout both from the hops and the spices I think. Flavour is fairly spice dominant, and could use just a touch more of the base beer to balance it out a bit. (6+) Average bodied palate is lightly carbonated. Overall I thought the aroma was excellent, but I found the bitterness of the spice in the flavour distracting. Would love to see how this would evolve in a second try at it. Cask @ Volo Cask Days 2008
