Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
"Beers for bottling are drawn from brewery conditioning tanks and transported by road tanker to our bottlers. There they are chilled, stored for ten days, then filtered and bottled. At the end of the bottling process, the bottles are pasteurised, labelled and packed."
"Brewed with many generous handfuls of choice Golding hops, it is full flavoured ale with a rich fruit nose. The bittersweet malty taste is followed by an uncompromising long, dry and bitter finish. This beer was the first, most successful, of all of our bottled beers."

Bottle. Pasteurised in metal vat aroma. Orange body with white head. Bitter beer and some mild sweet malts but not much more than swill. Ordinary beer on palate.

A light, refreshing, but thick ale, that has a satisfyingly concentrated aroma. I find it very well balanced in every respect. Or is it maybe a tad too bitter? No, it’s just good.

I did not find this aromatic nor did I get the thick white head others have written about. Poured cloudy yellow-orange with a thin white head that quickly dissapeared leaving no lacing. Easy to drink. A bit of carbonation bite and a bitter after taste.

500ml bottle. Pours a cloudy amber-orange with a huge off-white head. Aroma is thick and malty, dominated by roasted malt with some added components of earth, bread, caramel, and floral hops. Taste is creamy and fairly full, with an initial flavor of dry hoppiness and roasted malt giving way to a long dry finish of earth, yeast, and grains. A pleasant and drinkable bitter.

Really high quality beer this one. Has a dark bitter taste, in fact bittersweet and pleasing in general. the dry part is possibly the only downside, if there is a downside, though its an excellent ale especially in winter, does not quite feel like a summer beer, but thats ok.
