Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
"Beers for bottling are drawn from brewery conditioning tanks and transported by road tanker to our bottlers. There they are chilled, stored for ten days, then filtered and bottled. At the end of the bottling process, the bottles are pasteurised, labelled and packed."
"Brewed with many generous handfuls of choice Golding hops, it is full flavoured ale with a rich fruit nose. The bittersweet malty taste is followed by an uncompromising long, dry and bitter finish. This beer was the first, most successful, of all of our bottled beers."

Pours dark copper. Aroma is faint. Flavor is mostly of apple. Not awful, but nothing I will be writing home about.

Attractive dark copper with a medium sustaining head. Fairly weak toasted malty aroma. Uncomplex but refreshing caramel malt flavour with some bitterness. Initially sweet but becoming sligtly dry towards the finish. A little over carbonated. Not bad overall.

aroma of malts and not much else(but this is not a bad thing). golden/light brown color with a little carbonation and very small off white/light brown head. good lacing. ok, I have to say that I enjoy a good "bitter" and hot damn! this is excellent! flavor of malts a little bit o’ hops and maybe a touch of caramel. very, very, very, smooth palate with a hint of the bitter after taste. this is by far my favorite bitter out of a bottle. I WILL be getting more of this and I MUST be carefull because this is very easy to drink. LOVE IT!

July 2007 - Clear golden color, little to no head or lacing, clear. Aroma of buttery biscuit. The flavor was of bitter, butter and biscuits. Too much diacetyl. Ick.

Bottle: Dark copper color, nice head and light lacing. Nose of bitter fuggles and malt, some apple sweetness and moderate amount of alcohol actually. The flavor is more towards the bitter side, but it’s malty enough to merit more drinking. Easy drinking finish. Good.

Red colour, white head. Aroma has some malts. Flavour is malty as well, but very light. Finishes dry.

Bottle. Nice red colour, small white head. Certainly a dry finish. Malty. Something missing for me though the taste grows on you a bit.
