Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
"Beers for bottling are drawn from brewery conditioning tanks and transported by road tanker to our bottlers. There they are chilled, stored for ten days, then filtered and bottled. At the end of the bottling process, the bottles are pasteurised, labelled and packed."
"Brewed with many generous handfuls of choice Golding hops, it is full flavoured ale with a rich fruit nose. The bittersweet malty taste is followed by an uncompromising long, dry and bitter finish. This beer was the first, most successful, of all of our bottled beers."

1pt Bottle: Poured a perfect amber color with a light brown head. Head quickly disappeared . Slight malty scent. Taste like scent light malt.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small head. Strong malty aroma, mirrored in the taste, but with a strong hop finish. Decent bitter, but didn’t wow me.

Bottle. Pours a deep red with a wonderful thick head. Aroma is strong malt with slight hop as well, definitely building anticipation of this English ale. Taste is heavy malt and hop, with noticeable spices as well. Beer finishes dry with highly present Cascade hops. Not a spectacular beer, but very solid.

Rusty red pour with a somewhat thick head. Strong armoma. A lot of hops and some earty malts with a bit of spice. Very bitter dry taste with an even more bitter aftertaste. Reminds me of an APA or something with Cascade hops. Sadly I’m not a fan of bitteryly hopped beer.

From bottle : Pours a clear darker amber color, with a small, fast dieing white head. Nose of malt and fruit, with some mediciney tones. Taste is pretty bitter, and that is about all i get from it, there isnt much taste at all to it. Medium body, with all the bitterness, and a bitter aftertaste. Not that enjoyable.

A heck of a mild English ale, not a lot of bold character for this desensitized Yank. Maybe I need to put this together with some soft-but-deep pastoral works of Brits I actually take much liking to, like Delius and Vaughan Williams, to make this work. Funny thing is, I’m working my way through a whole selection of works on Napster specifically dubbed "pastoral" as I type, and it’s not helping. But being as they aren’t by Frederick or Ralph (better pronounce it "Rafe," or else!), maybe they just aren’t the right ones.

My advice is to stick with the Brits for good sources of music (if not Freddy or Rafey, then at least the ’Head or the Tree), less so for the ales.
