Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
"Beers for bottling are drawn from brewery conditioning tanks and transported by road tanker to our bottlers. There they are chilled, stored for ten days, then filtered and bottled. At the end of the bottling process, the bottles are pasteurised, labelled and packed."
"Brewed with many generous handfuls of choice Golding hops, it is full flavoured ale with a rich fruit nose. The bittersweet malty taste is followed by an uncompromising long, dry and bitter finish. This beer was the first, most successful, of all of our bottled beers."

Très belle couleur ambrée, très petit collet. Bon arome d’houblon et de malte de caramel. Goût un peu amère, légèrement caramelisé. C’est bon!

Pours a satifying glass, realatively nice head, dark golden color (unfiltered). Light hops and smooth malt flavor. A little dry on the backend, but generally okay and drinkable. Creamy, almost chewy, slight bitterness. Had to pick this out of the fridge due to Martin Freeman’s use in Blake’s Junction 7.. a robot drinking ales! (Bottle pour 4/13/2006) p.s. - why are people complaining about the head, my bottle pour was almost perfect... WTF?!

22 oz. bottle. Golden-red appearance with decent head and aroma. Okay flavor, somewhat bitter throughout, with mediocre, dry finish

500 ml bottle. amber-brownish color. Small head that disapeared really fast. Low carbonation. Caramel aroma. A bit bitter. Not bad. I would juge it as fair.

Had this at a cheese and beer tasting. It was paired with Keen’s Farmhouse Cheddar - Somerset. Has a more fruity aroma than I would have expected. A bit more fuller than some other English Pale Ales I’ve had. This beer has a nice long finish. Almost no head or lacing.

Aroma: malty and fruity balanced by some nice hoppy notes. Appearance: orange and slightly hazy with a tan cream head that leaves sheet lacing. Flavour: initially crystal malty and fruity orange and stonefruit with a touch of vanilla giving way to lots of hop bitterness. Palate: lingering dry bitterness medium mouthfeel.

(500 ml bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/freeport/ target=blank>Derosier’s) Hazy orange-amber body. Large biscuit head, gets kind of globby on surface after receding. Aroma faintly bready, a little malty, very faint hops. Mouthfeel lightly prickly, sort of watery. Lots of sloppy foamy lacing. Flavor is mild sweet maltiness with a bitter finish. Kind of bland but OK.
