Commercial Description:
Bottle; Pasteurised.
"Beers for bottling are drawn from brewery conditioning tanks and transported by road tanker to our bottlers. There they are chilled, stored for ten days, then filtered and bottled. At the end of the bottling process, the bottles are pasteurised, labelled and packed."
"Brewed with many generous handfuls of choice Golding hops, it is full flavoured ale with a rich fruit nose. The bittersweet malty taste is followed by an uncompromising long, dry and bitter finish. This beer was the first, most successful, of all of our bottled beers."

Good head and lacing on this brew. A dark pour that really looked good. A bit sharp in the aftertaste, but overall a good one.

Robe blonde claire surmontée d’une mousse blanche fugace et en dentelle. Arômes de caramel et de pomme verte. Saveurs, de beurre (diacétyl) léger, de caramel, de pomme verte et de levure.

Strong nose of slightly sweet malt and yeast. Good coppery ale colour with a strong head. Flavour is equal handfuls of sharp and sweet resolving into a long, bitter finish (as the label says). Pretty good.

Excellent looking ale. Nice amber colour with hints of orange. Some fruits, mostly dry fruits with a pale bitter. Well relaxed complexity...a little bready enjoyable!

Nice looking pour-- deep orange amber, thick beige head leaving excellent lace. Fruity aromas, apricots in particular. Caramel toasty malt, mildly bitter finish. Nice standard ale.

Bottle. Pours a sparkling dark amber with an average off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, light flowery hops, spices and yeast. Appearance and aroma are nice so you expect pretty good things from the taste but unfortunately it’s a dissapointment. The taste is slightly bitter and average but the aftertaste is quite unpleasant and the palate is too harsh. A mediocre ale.

Pint from Central Market. Hard to get real excited about this, but then again, it followed an abbey tripel. Poured clear golden with lasting head. Almost nothing for the nose. An easy swill. Not complex. Didn’t look for another when this was gone.

Had a grassy/sweaty smell. Very grain-like and hoppy. The color is a nice amber with good lacing. The head was a bit rocky and off-white. The flavor was rather lacking and uninteresting. It has a dry, vinegar quality to it that finishes with a synthetic, hospital feel.
