| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 30, 2004 Bottle. Rich amber beer with a very big white head. Aroma of caramel and a bit of spice. Hops, a bit of a citrus undertone, some malt backing that stays sweet after beginning a little bitter. A hint of soap. OK, but nothing to go searching for. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 28, 2004 clear, amber color, a gilded peach, under a massive mess of creamy froth, leaving lace...aroma, a bit sour, citric, musty, at first (a surprise), loaded with lemon and orange, with hints of ginger, and pepper, unusual, arousing, ...
Smooth on the tongue, easy off the palate, and perhaps a bit thinnish, ultimately. Hoppy, citric character bounces a bit in the mouth, but it’s stay is short, and the rest of the drink is pleasant, but bland. That may be the point, actually, but it doesn’t work for me.
Yeah, don’t listen to me, it’s a fine ale...sweet, and bitter, citric, and smooth...quite a nice little brew...go knock ourselves out...

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 27, 2004 Medium orange with an OK head. Faint aroma, slight earth. Flavor is balanced malt and hop, but nothing stands out with this bitter. Some slight buttery note when it hit room temperature. Carbonation bit a bit. Not impressed. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 26, 2004 This poured a deep amber color with a thin white head that laced the glass nicely for the duration. Has an earthy, malty aroma with a hint of grassiness. Creamy mouth-fill. A mild yet bitter malt taste with an underlying touch of sweetness. Slighty bitter finish. A comfortable drink.
