Clear amber pour, with a decent lasting frothy straw-coloured head. Quite a roasty sweet caramel aroma to this, but am I picking up the dreaded diacetyl? - It seems a tad papery and artificially sweet, but the dry herbal hops are decent. The taste - less of that buttery, caramel pudding character, the sweet malt is a little roasty, and the dry herbal hops are again just fine. Very light body, perhaps too much bitter astringency for the sweetness of the malt, a bitter, dry linger doesn’t detract too much, but the weakest thing I had at The Harp when all is said and done. stoutfellow2 (20), Peterborough, England
