Half on cask. Dark golden coloured with brilliant clarity. Filmy white layer of foam. Fruity aroma. Light caramel in flavour with notes of dried fruit (apricot) and with a moderate bitter end. Well made beer (served at perfect temperature at the wonderful Harp pub in Covent Garden 18.09.2006).

(Cask at Lion Tavern, Liverpool, 24 July) Colour is amber with frothy head. Nose is malty, fruity with dark fruit and some earthy hops. Taste is malty and fruity with hints of dried apricots and a well balanced bitter finish with some earthy/dusty hops. A good session bitter.

Deep gold body with a light white head. Aroma dominated by hops and light malts. Sweet initial taste, fading to a bitter maltiness. Sweet ending.

Thios was many of the Bitters that I tried in England. It was hot, of course and tough to drink. Poured Golden. It had little hop flavor and not much character.
