Gorgeous to look at, however I have drunk this beer all over the country, it doesn’t travel well down south. This isn’t because of the beer its just landlords don’t quite keep the beer right the further south you go. Anyone who fails to see the merit in this beer should stick to wine!!!! Famous from yorkshire and a good tasting session ale. at 3.8% it is surprisingly not that strong and i do prefer beers that are less strong in general. Excellent beer from Black sheep. The aroma and flavour have an intense carmel quality to them accompanied by well hopped bitterness. A very pleasant beer and a very good bitter. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

The pour a slightly hazy deep amber color, the head portly in size, frothy in texture and the color a winsome light tan, that leaves behind a nice coating of lace. Nose is mostly malt, clean and crisp, start is loaded with malt, lightly sweet with a middling top. Finish is lightly carbonated, the hops mild and understated, dry as a desert bone aftertaste, a real pleasant beer to quaff on a lazy Arizona Day.

Bright (clear) golden body with a lacy white head. Gorgeous sulphurous aroma which I admit is an acquired liking. Honey suckle flavour with generous malts and strong bitterness that wakes you up and reminds you what beer tastes like. Great beer in superb condition and drunk just a few miles from the brewery. dnas2 (650), Yelverton, Devon., Devon, England

It should be good at the brewery and this definitely was. A malty, hoppy beer, nicely dry, subtely bitter. Great drinking beer.
