Commercial Description:
Available filtered and pasteurised in 500ml bottles.
"Beers for bottling are drawn from brewery conditioning tanks and transported by road tanker to our bottlers. There they are chilled, stored for ten days, then filtered and bottled. At the end of the bottling process, the bottles are pasteurised, labelled and packed."
"Distinctive balance between the flavours of fruity Golding variety hops, Maris Otter malted barley and demerara sugar. Strong and refreshingly long, dry and bitter finish."

Tasted 17/05/2007. BJCP English pale ale tasting. 500ml bottle from Island Bay New World. Light haze in a golden coloured ale with a diminishing off-white head. Citrus fruit hops and a peachy esters noted on a lovely nose. Significant golding hop character in the flavour, with a nice underlying pale malt character and a little flash of caramel at the end. Medium bitterness. Fruity notes linger on the palate. Nice bitter, well travelled and very drinkable.

[CASK: The Bull’s Head, Piccadilly, Manchester 06/04/07] Not bad ale, a pleasant taste. Worth a try if you come across it. Easy drinking.

Easy-drinking and refreshing bottled bitter. Very fresh hoppy aroma, good bitterness in the end. A pleasent beer, but not outstanding.

500 ml bottle. Clear orange/golden body. Big, mostly diminishing beige head. Quite strong initial aroma of berries, then it gets bready with scents of bitter hops. Dry malty taste; some fruitiness, some spices, with mild bittering hops. Light body. High carbonation level for the style. Sourish finish.

Dark amber pour. Nose initially very metallic but opens up with some resiny hop, whiskeyish malt and a sniff of Tripelish fruitiness. Chalky smooth with a hint of chocolatey malt, an abrupt hop bitterness in the finish and a fresh bread afternose. Pretty decent if you give it a chance to warm up a bit.

500 ml bottle from Morrisons. Pours a clear gold colour with an off-white head; sour, fruity aroma; chewy, full, malt flavour; with a gently bitter finish with a touch of biscuit. Nothing special, but a well-constructed English bitter.
