Odd lemon, but more lime in the citrus mix. Some yeast. Some hopo on end. A little bizarre and not what I was expecting imdownthepub (5173), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 1, 2007 Cask (handpump) at GBBF, August 2006. Dark amber colour. A soft, sweetish best bitter. The emphasis is on sweet, fruity malt and hop character is in pretty short supply - no more than a hint of earthy Goldings. Consequently lacks impact. Couldn’t really call this faulty (so I’ve erred on the side of generous in the scoring) but its not my preferred style of bitter at all.

A copper to brown coloured beer with a sweet malty but slightly soapy aroma. The taste has some malty character but is dull and just uninteresting. I am afraid this is a typical Black Sheep safe bitter. leaparsons (4750), Leicester, Leicestershire, England
