Commercial Description:
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Bottle Pour. Apple cider color with a head that builds and never goes away. The lacing almost covered the entire backside of the glass. Aroma of apples and flowers. Taste reminds me of apple skins or maybe a slightly sour apple cider, but in a good way. Sweet up front with a very quick dry bitterness at the end. Good stuff. Worth $3. My first UK brew!

Bottle. Pours a golden color with a thick white head. Has a European hop aroma and taste which im not fond of, makes it taste more like a german pilsner than a bitter. Not a very good bitter.

Tap at Churchills, Savannah. Nice amber pour with a thin white head. Creamy malty orange aroma. Taste is smooth malt with a slight hop bitterness and much more carbonated than I thought it would be. This would be a nice beer to try on cask.

Aroma smells of skunked hops, grass clippings, not very appealing. The second pour allows for more malt body to come through. The appearance is rather ordinary with a very light tan translucent body, with a nice 1/2 inch thick white head. This brew is rather bitter initially, smoothing out into a more malt filled taste. The second taste is much more tasty, the malts come through with a sweeter more mellow taste. The beer feels to complicated initially, is it bitter, is it sweet, is it liquory. I love everything Python, but this will not be playing again on my taste buds.

1 pint 0.9 fl. oz. bottle. Pours a medium amber/orange/brown. Very smooth, with a hint of orange peel. Decent, although I expected this one to be a lot more full-bodied.
