Malty grainy aroma with some woodiness and maybe a tad of hop fruitiness. Flavor is fairly weak with some grainy maltiness and bitter hops. Palate is dry and fades very quickly. Drinkable, but not what I look for in a good ESB. daniel0017 (232), Ontario, Canada

Lends itself well to salted stuff. Refreshing and crisp. berkshirejohn (1831), Bracknell, Berkshire, England

Gold with a loose white head; intense grapefruit aroma; sweet caramel body, thick and chewy with rich fruit - dates and figs; tghe finish is long and bitter but not overpowering. An excellent Yorkshire bitter. dancatts (91), Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma: Hoppy and grassy, good English hop character with some caramel.
Flavour: Mildly assertive and clean bitterness. No malt or crystal malt character. Dry as a bone with some light diacetyl character.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, finishes (and starts) very dry.
Overall: Clean and assertive with a goodly hop bitterness. little to no fermentation esters. Some good English grassy hop flavours. Refreshing good with a curry. DerWeg (778), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 4, 2007 500ml from LC. Reddish yellow colour. Seems like an average but competent commerical Brit ale, maybe a notch better than the iffy ones but unmemorable. Less merchandising more character pelase. Moz (613), Gothenburg, Sweden
