| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 2, 2007 Bottle as shown. Pours an amber color with an small off white head that diminishes to a paper thin head. The aroma is a very sweet malt and butterscotch notes. Nice lacing that dissipates quickly. The taste is not lasting and goes over quickly leaving a malt finish. This is one strange ESB but at best average. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 31, 2007 Smelled of light malts and metal, some alcohol, and not much else. Perhaps a hint of summer berries, or that was just my imagination. Tastes interesting though. There is hardly any hop discernible at all, and the malts pass over the tongue quickly. What’s left behind can only be described as a mix of very subtle orange, coffee, alcohol, anise, and floral notes. Deeper down there are tidbits of oak and molasses. A very intriguing beer. Tastes almost like a shrubbery...... hmmm....... Borup (1359), Albertslund, Denmark

Soft taste with a watery palate and uneventful finish. I was expecting more. aobecksy (661), Middle of no where, Ohio, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 11, 2007 Shouldn’t this be called Holy Ail? Anyway not worth the fussy label gimmick. Bland like water down hops, with uninteresting head and lace. Boring.
