Commercial Description:
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

This beer is not very exciting....Amber to gold color very earthy. Grassy taste with a bitter finish. Won’t order this one again.

Bottle. Amber beer with a big off-white head. Hay, grassy aroma. Grassy, citrus flavor with light malt. LIngering citrus. Medium-light body.

decent, but not great ale. Easy to drink, but I expected more. Rather dry, with not much flavor.

FRUITY AND LIGHTLY HOPPED TASTE THAT INCLUDES A RECESSED MALT PROFILE. UNDERWHELMING BREW THAT IS WATERY AND YET NOT PARTICULARLY REFRESHING, AS IT IS TOO SWEET YET DRY. UNFORTUNATELY THIS PLEASANT LOOKING GOLDEN BREW IS A MISH MASH COMBINATION THAT HAS NOT QUITE WORKED OUT. DECENT MOUTHFEEL DOES NOT SAY CREAMY...PERHAPS, SLICK IN SOME SORT OF WAY. LIGHT BITTER FINISH IS DECENT.

Pours a nice golden color with a huge, frothy head. Aroma is of fruity hops, and the taste is a somewhat-creamy taste of floral hops and carbonation. Overall, not bad, but certainly underwhelming.

i was excited to see this beer being such a fan of monty python i had to have it no matter how it tasted. i was surprised that it didnt suck haha. its a dry taste with a nice bitter and fruity feel. not the best but not the worst. wanting to try every beer ever i probably wont find myself getting it again but it was a fun brew to try and it goes well with the movie.

POurs light brown and shows a malty and bitter style on the nose and the palate. The hops show more on the latter part of the palate into the finish.

Copper, nice head. The aroma is hoppy with a note of cheese. The flavour is fruity, rather bitter, acidic and dry. It’s OK, but quickly forgotten.
