Smells of flowers with a hint of citrus. Thin drink with lively carbonation finishes slightly dull and bland. I was hoping for some of the flower and citrus to translate but it did not. Interesting choice for name and label, but there are better examples of the style out there. Hermod (309), Vantaa, Finland

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 6, 2009 Frizzy head. Amber lightly cloudy. Virtually no lacing. Scent of fresh manure and wet pine forest. Lively carbonated- a bit stingy. Round palate and a straight standard beer. I give an extra credit for the design and because I love Monty Python. Now I know how to get the attention from geeky guys at parties;-) jcr (1190), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 23, 2009 Bottle. Clear, deep gold body below an off-white head, mostly diminishing. Light aroma of toast, flowers, dough with a hint of fruit, apricot. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, smooth though somewhat chalky texture, lively carbonation. An average bitter and it does, as advertised, have a distinctive flavor. That flavor, however, is like licking paper. Not one of the better premium bitters. stef92 (68), Williamstown, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 23, 2009 Golden amber coloring. Light hops but ample flavor. Slight sweetenss in the finish. Plus its tempered over burning witches. I enjoyed it! hogan873 (334), Joliet, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 18, 2009 Deep golden body with a thin white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Overall sweet aroma. Fruity and floral hops and some caramel. Clean, crisp, and bright. High carbonation. Earthy flavors along with some ripe fruit notes. Slightly bitter finish with a lick of hops. A cool beer that tastes pretty good. Fratto (760), Arlington, Texas, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Sep 17, 2009 Got it because it’s Monty Python and it’s "brewed over burning witches." Smells and tastes like beer. Pretty generic, but has a healthy amount of bitter. MrRoss (617), Delta, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 18, 2009 Cute name, clever label, but nothing else remarkable about this one. It’s a drinkable English ale with no vices or standout qualities. Maybe once was enough; there are better ales out there.
