Commercial Description:
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Bottle. Cloudy amber-orange colour with a big frothy off-white head. Nice lacing. A bit malty-sweet aroma with some hops. Flavour is nicely hoppy, bit grainy, weak malty sweetness with a little yeast. A little bitter light sweet finish.

Pours a bright clear copper, topped by an inch of sudsy cream colored foam. Adequate head retention and webby lacing. Sweetish malty aroma, with caramel and slight butterscotch. Nice blend of sweet caramel and dry biscuit malt. Tangy and lightly herbal hops for balance and a pleasant residual bitterness. Seems to have more alcohol than the 4.7% listed. Smooth and mellow
