2009 Bottle. They’re clearly depending upon the Monty Python branding to make this beer sell. Generally mediocre ESB, lacking the typical creamy consistency with a decent amount of non-biting hops. Not bad, but not great.

Nov 30, 2009 Bottled 50cl. Awful aroma of boiled vegetables, malt, compost, caramel, butter, apple and boiled milk. A lot of diacetyl showing up in the taste. Very low bitterness. Sweet and slightly sour with apple appearing. Unpleasant finish. Very dissapointing.

Nov 29, 2009 Bottle. Gold, foamy white head. Fruit and citrus nose. Possibly some elderberries. Sweet malts with light balancing bitterness and a touch of sourness. Middle-of-the-road bottled bitter. (Oops, spoke too soon): by the end of the pint it seemed oversweet and rather less pleasant - reducing from 3.3 to 2.8.

Nov 26, 2009 Small pour from 12 oz. bottle. Tangy aroma features melon, dust, and lemon scents. Pours a light brass with very little, non-white head. Standard English bitter taste: Fruity with a tangy, lemon zest finish. Light body. Crisp in the palate. Boring and forgettable but not objectionable and in fact sessionable.
