Commercial Description:
Bottled - pasteurised.
Another fine addition to the Black Sheep Brewery range of premium bottled ales, our Holy Grail Bitter was specially commissioned to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Monty Python. It has a distinctive taste with plenty of fruity hops, and is full flavoured with a dry and refreshing bitterness.

Pours a light copper with a small white head. Aroma of malts with some hops also. Flavor is pretty fruity with some malts and hops too. This is a very easy beer to drink, but not a great beer.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. The pour on this beer very unique pours like a amber cola with a fast rising head that is fizzy and vanishes quickly.Bubbles rise from the bottom making this clear amber beer like an age worthy champagne in appearanceTthink of a ESB that has carbonation.Flavors of hops, malts and caramel.

Bottled 50cl. Awful aroma of boiled vegetables, malt, compost, caramel, butter, apple and boiled milk. A lot of diacetyl showing up in the taste. Very low bitterness. Sweet and slightly sour with apple appearing. Unpleasant finish. Very dissapointing.

Bottle. Gold, foamy white head. Fruit and citrus nose. Possibly some elderberries. Sweet malts with light balancing bitterness and a touch of sourness. Middle-of-the-road bottled bitter. (Oops, spoke too soon): by the end of the pint it seemed oversweet and rather less pleasant - reducing from 3.3 to 2.8.

Small pour from 12 oz. bottle. Tangy aroma features melon, dust, and lemon scents. Pours a light brass with very little, non-white head. Standard English bitter taste: Fruity with a tangy, lemon zest finish. Light body. Crisp in the palate. Boring and forgettable but not objectionable and in fact sessionable.

Amber color in the glass. Somewhat fruity aroma. Light, a little metallic. Pretty average. Nothing too bad, nothing too amazing either.

Clear gold/copper pour with white head. Mostly malt, caramel, a bit of biscuits, citrus, and a small amount of hops. Pretty standard beer, not very interesting.
