Bottle - 500ml. Dark copper body with average carbonation and a decent off-white frothy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with roasty hints. Sharp hoppy taste that ends with a long bitter finish. Nice example of English Altbier.

Dark redish brown. First impresion is sweet. But much more coplex than that. An earthy taste. Medium malts. Almost like a very mild porter.

Pours dark reddish brown, off white creamy head. Nice sweet roasted aroma-malty finishes with a bit of a bitterness. Worth a try if you like these darker Ales. You might be "rigged" if you swill enough of this!

500 ml bottle. pours dark redish brown with a medium off white head that lasts and lasts. lotsa carbonation that settles down throughout. aromas are peaty malts, some nuttiness, but mostly just malty. flavours are similar with hops showing at the end. well put together, not mindblowing or life changing but id never turn one down. could drink it in session.

(Bottle) Pours a brown color with a tan head. Aroma of smoky malts and yeast. Taste includes a fair amount of peat, grains, and nutty malts. Light hop notes towards the end. Sweet finish as well. Good mouthfeel, but the palate was a touch thin. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this beer.
