(Bottle 50 cl) Very dark brown - close to black - with a nice, brownish head. Malty fullness and a dry bitterness - rather marked bitterness actually. Reminds me more of an old fashioned, traditional porter. Odd name - and explanation for it. 140603

A strong crisp smell of hops. Dark rust colored with a thick head and heavy lacing. A nice bitter taste of hops teases the tongue and fades slowly.

Dark brown beer with a large beige head. A strong banana aroma was the first impression, followed by a toasty malt. The bitter finish is a strong element in the taste, but you have to search closely to find much else. Little bit of citrus, hint of sweetness. It’s OK.

Nice beige and foamy, lasting head. Dark ruby colour. Aroma of citrus, raisins and malt. Rapsberries and roasted malt in the flavour. Medium bodied. All right palate. Dry slightly bitter finish.

Brown with ruby tinge, under a pillowy beige head that leaves lashings of lace. Toasted malt, and creamy raspberries and banana in the aroma, with some nutty caramel realised on tasting. The bitter flavour is pretty well balanced by some sweetness, but the palate could do with a bit more oomph from somewhere.

very creamy head; color is a deep red -very appealing. much more bitterness than I expected, but overall taste is a bit bland and boring - nothing to get excited about; at times, I even noticed a couple of "off" flavours

(bottle) Pours dark caramel, with a huge smoooooth and creamy off-white head. Notes of roasted malts and iron (?). Plesant dry bitterness, longlasting. Overall OK!
