jtw (911), farmington, Michigan, USA Oct 7, 2007 750 mL bottle - extraordinarily pale color, almost off-white rather than a straw color. like white grape or white wine, and despite a moderate carbonation level there is barely any head. dry apple aroma, slightly medicinal or phenolic but not overtly alcoholic. somehow, artusory’s rating nearly mirrors mine - i was going to note some Riesling characteristics as well. the flavor is much sweeter than the aroma would indicate, as there seems to be a lot of extra sugar left over. enjoyable, particularly on this unseasonably hot october night, but "refreshing" is about as well as i can score it. ryan (1706), Beltsville, Maryland, USA Mar 23, 2007 Clear and very light color, almost like white grape juice. The aroma is sweet, with lots of apple juice and a touch of perfume. The flavor is sweet with apples, pears and a bit of a Riesling. Light bodied, moderate carbonation, light acidity, crisp. Decent, but far from a great cider. KAggie97 (1887), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Oct 8, 2006 Updated: Aug 3, 2007Bottle bought at the winery, Michigan, July ’06. Pours a lively carbonated pale yellow/white. Aroma is a nice blend of apple and pear. Flavor is lively Macintosh and pear, with hints of white grape. Thin mouthfeel, but so is every other cider. Nice cider. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA Sep 1, 2006 Not much to look at: clear amber with no expected or realized head. The aroma, however, was delicious tart apple. Nothing else of note but nothing else needed. It’s a cider. Big carbonation but not intrusive. Medium body. The flavor was crisp and clean and definitely apples. Tart apples. Nice summer sipper but might also be good mulled. Cornfield (4263), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA May 5, 2006 Very pale yellow, almost to the point of being water clear, with plenty of small bubbles and a bubbly head that rapidly disappears. The aroma is quite tart and the apple skins add a light earthiness to it. Good crisp apple flavor, leaning slightly to the sour side. Nice dry finish. Resfreshing.
