| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 28, 2007 (bottle) Dark brown, almost black. Small tan head. Roast malt aroma. Flavor is roast mat, some coffee, hops in the finish. I’d’a called it a porter. MrChris (110), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 20, 2007 Fresh crisp tasting camel ale. Pours dark brown, but not heavy. Light tan frothy head that disappears towards the bottom of the glass. Flavor resides on the roof of your mouth. A remarkably good value for less than 5½ bucks a sixer. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 14, 2007 Bottle. This looks almost exactly like cola when poured, just with fewer bubbles. Aroma of hazelnut and baking chocolate. Flavor is subtle and nutty with hazelnut after taste. Body is light and refreshing though. Lets call this hazelnut lager. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 11, 2007 Pours an almost opaque ruby red with no head retention. Aroma of coffee beans and cocoa. Watery mouthfeel with a thin flavor of chocolate malt. Decent but certainly not memorable. joohefner (380), Isla Vista, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 6, 2007 dark brown with light brown head. coffee and cocoa on the nose with some raisin, pepper and carmel notes. balanced flavor of roasted coffee, raisins, creamy malt, chocolate, and a small bitter bite. just a nice mellow everyday beer. the best thing about this beer... great price for a pretty good beer. boboski (1095), Alabama, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 1, 2007 Translucent dark brown with chestnut hues. Mostly and quickly fading beige head. Pretty lacing. Fun, nice, enticing aroma. Notes of chocolate brownies, lightly toasted grains and caramel. Pretty awesome for a brown ale. I do wish the nose was more pronounced. Awesome chocolatey flavor as well. Good balance of roasty malts and sweetness. Palate is sticky sweet, medium-light to medium bodied(again, great for a brown ale). Finishes full, semi-sweet. I really dig this beer. GuyCuba (15), USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Apr 28, 2007 Good, strong roasted malt flavor with caramel & chocolate, plus a bit of citrus. Sweet, with a slightly bitter finish. Little to no aroma, but at least it didn’t reek. Feels a bit thin and watery in the mouth. A drinkable but otherwise unremarkable beer of this style [12 oz. bottle]
[moments later:] it’s beginning to grow on me, this one. It’s actually a pretty comfortable beer. I think I’ll have another. SoLan (1427), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 16, 2007 Courtesy boboski. Dark brown with dark brown/ruby edges. Small light tan head. Aroma is roasty, chocolatey, biscuity, with hints of licorice, also. Similar flavor, somewhere between a brown and a stout. Medium body, smoother than balanced. Solid brew, very drinkable.
