Apr 10, 2008 Bottle (12oz). Shared by garthicus, courtesy of irishboy. Clear deep ruby-mahogany pour, small head. Sweet medium roast caramel aroma, chocolate, with grassy bitterness. The taste followed - more an incredibly light porter than a brown - crisp, light, sweet but not too much so, only mildly carbonated, with a very quick finish. A decent, clean brew, not erring on either the bitter or syrupy side.

Mar 16, 2008 Surprisingly good. Pretty decent maltiness. Medium bodied and easy to drink. Low carbonation. Has a brown sugary sweetness with some dark fruits mixed in. Not too sweet though.

Mar 5, 2008 Deep brown with a medium head. Sweet aroma, definitely brown sugar. Surprisingly thin for a dark ale, slides down your throat without sticking. The sweet taste lingers until the next sip. Drinks very smoothly. Nice.

Mar 3, 2008 Thanks to Aaron for this one. Dark brown body, tan bubbles cling to the glass. Toasty caramel, brown sugar aroma. Quite smoky, also some caramel. Aftertaste is ashy. Kind of thin.
