502Flavors (617), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Jul 26, 2009 On tap at Nashville’s Music City Brew Festival. Definitely one of the weaker pale ales at the festival. Descent look but pretty bland aroma and flavor. Some corn notes that I wasn’t too happy about. shp555 (1678), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jul 16, 2009 Pours a straw yellow color with a white head. Aroma is vanilla, malty, honey, and some earthy hops. Flavor is honey, vanilla, floral, slightly fruity, and a bitter grassy finish. vyvvy (2023), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Jun 6, 2009 Sampled at Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition festival. Pours bright yellow / gold with a snow white head. The aroma is grainy, grassy and clean pils style malt. Medium / light crisp refreshing body with full semi-sharp carbonation. Original rating: 7:4:6:3:14 punkeedo (465), San Antonio, Texas, USA Mar 23, 2009 2009 Tap at Nashville brewery. Definitely my favorite kolsch, possibly my favorite lager. Remarkably complex for a lager, the aroma is of much citrus, malts, and sugars, perhaps cloyingly so. Looks very light gold with very little head. The flavor is most excellent and complex. Malts with lemon zest and orange peel, perhaps a hint of alcohol flavor. Very, very good. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Jan 1, 2009 Clear pale golden yellow with thin white head. Not much for the aroma at all. Flavor is lightly bitter and buttery. Nothing much to it at all.
