12oz bottle acquired in trade with SpringsLicker (thanks!). Poured a lighter golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of lemons, grains, lightly grassy and I’m picking up a light spiciness. Tastes of lemons, lightly fruity, grain and citrus. Thin body.

Bottle. This beer is predictably stock...it has a malty flavor with a bit of sweet hoppiness following the initial bitter, if slightly heavy, onslaught.

12oz bottle via trade with Beer_Hawk! - Thanks Steve! - Pours blonde with a hort white head that laces a little. Aromas of light malts and german grassy hops with just a touch of citrus. Flavor is more citrus with notes of orange peel , and grass along with light grains. Finish is slight hops very airy and light. Good summer brew. Moved this from Blackstone Kolsch after finding that this is the correct beer. Thanks for tipping me off springslicker!

Draft at the brewery, August 2006. Has a light chill-haze but is otherwise clear in appearance, with a yellow color. Nose has some light biscuit malt notes, with some vegetables (corn), hay, and sugar notes as well. Lightly crisp, which is usually not found in US-made kolsch, but still has a more common syrupy textures... overall it’s just not a good beer, kolsch or otherwise, even has some malt liquor qualities. Not good.

Bottle obtained in a trade with piscator34, thanks Kris. Hazy golden colour, very quickly dissipating white head, some visible carbonation. The aroma was grainy, some grassy hops, slightly herbal as well. The flavour is pretty much the same as the aroma with the addition of bready malts, peach?, light citrus. Creamy mouthfeel, light body, mild carbonation. Finishes light and quick, fairly boring.

Draft 5 oz sample at the brewpub, 5/14/06: Very clear golden with a lightly sticky head. Crisp and corny with a light starchy bitterness that finishes it off. OK.

Courtesy of Springslicker
Aroma is fruit mash, malt and grassy/hay like hops. Golden in color with a quickly diminishing white head. Earthy hay tasting fore...which doesn’t sound good, but is. Very low hop presence. Has a mild poundacke and citrus flavor toward the middle and finish. I didn’t expect much, based a previous beer from this brewer, but this is very tasty..though narrow.

(On tap) Pale golden with a white head. Malty nose with an edge of fresh hops. Light body with soft and slightly sweet malt before a very dry hopping sets in. Very clean and refreshing. 300306
