(Knoxville Brewers’ Jam). Pours a clear honey yellow with white head. The aroma is pine and grassy hops. The palate is a bit thicker than I expected. Tastes like silvan hops and bread. Ok, but a little bit too pale.

Clear straw body with some fine yeasty particles, moderate carbonation and a lively white head. Aroma of sweet, fruity pale malt and honey. Flavor has some lightly rich continental-style maltiness, a hint of corn, and spicy and perfumy Noble hop characters. Moderate honey-like sweetness with light tart citrus notes and noticeable bitterness. Some palatable texture and medium carbonation on the palate. Comes across a bit like sweet, fruity cereal, but a solid, flavorful kölsch overall. Thanks SpringsLicker.

Clear deep yellow body under a small, frothy, white head. Faint aroma of lemons and hay. The flavor starts slightly sweet and ends with an acidic spritz. Light body, a bit drier and hoppier than a Belgian Wit. But I’m far from an expert of what to look for in a good Kolsch so I might not be fair with this one.

Appearance: crystal clear, yellow hue, near transparent at glass’ bottom, with an average-size sliver foam. Aroma is mildly hoppy, delicately floral, honeyish. Taste: mellow, likeable,...faint fruit in the flavor, a drizzle of hops. Light bodied, crisp and clean, dry finish. I could toss back these with gusto, especially in weather like this...though, I’d get a hankering for something heartier. Just how I am.

Yellowish gold, thin beige head. sweetish, corny malty aroma. Nicely sweet, rather juicy tasting - maybe a faint grape juice flavor? Then an unobtrusive, mellow hop bite. Maybe some citrus notes, too. Very drinkable. Sampled at the 2005 Music City Brewer’s Fest.

I have never had a Kolsch beer. This was apleasant surprise. Pale in appearance. Great carbonation. Great with cheddar cheese. I highly recommend it.

Bright gold in colour with medium carbonation. There’s bit of citrus fruit and light wheat maltiness on the nose. The flavors are somewhat cream ale like, with some slightly sweet honey malt notes. The body is relatively light. A decent enough summer sipper.

Golden yellow color with little head. Sparkling clear. Slight citrus aroma of grapefruit. The light bodied beer starts sweet but ends with a bitter flavor. Somewhat dry with lots of carbonation.
