Commercial Description:
A classic British nut brown ale. Full bodied, complex and interesting yet mild in flavor. This interpretation has a distinctive hop aroma and flavor. Awarded the World Beer Cup 2000 Gold Medal & the 1998 Bronze Medal for English Style Brown Ale and the 2001 and 1997 Silver Medals for the Great American Beer Festival's®, English Style Brown Ale. Our Nut Brown Ale follows the style of the brown ales of Northern England with a rich smooth flavor and a slightly nutty character.(O.G.-1.054, IBUs 35)

Bottle poured a clear copper brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of cocoa, carmel and nuts. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, carmel and light nuts with a smooth malty finish.

Sampled at the 12th Annual Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. Clear amber brown with a frothy off white head. Sweet nutty aroma, dark creamy caramels, slight walnuts and cashews.

Tap at Nashville brew pub. Pours a deep brown/red with a fizzy tan head. Aroma was roast malt. Flavor was nutty with a hint bitter chocolate. Medium body with average carbonation. Good beer.

Hazelnut in color, almost mohagany with a quickly receding fizzy head. Rich malty flavor, some toasted nuttiness, a hint of chocolate and caramel. Very sessionable.
