Blackstone Grand Cru | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Commercial Description: The recipe for this beer comes from local homebrewer Mark Forrester,brewed here for the Great American Beer Festival's Pro-Am competition. "Grand Cru" is a loose designation that breweries sometimes use for a special beer, but it is often rooted in the Belgian Wit style. Mark's version also expandes on this style. In addition to the traditional pils malt, unmalted wheat,coriander & orange peel, he added orange blossom honey,grains of paradise & white sugar. A special Belgian yeast was used that adds nuance, complexity and refreshing tartness. (IBUs-27)
