JJClark (545), Roscoe, Illinois, USA Mar 21, 2009 Growler. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a medium size head. Aroma of roasted malt and nuts. Taste is very similar. Has the characteristics of a traditional bock but a little watery but with a solid bock flavor.Has light hop dry finish. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Mar 13, 2009 Sampled a while back back at the brewery. Murky brown pour. Rich malt nose. Raisin and plum notes with some weird douglas-fur quality. Didn’t care for it too much. The alcohol was clearly noticeable, despite not having a huge abv. Walnut on the finish.
