Commercial Description:
This beer is not named after an obscure character in a Dickens novel. It is instead the beer equivalent of a varietal wine: Maris Otter is considered by many brewers to be the finest of all English Barleys, and is reserved for "top of the line" pale ales, where its low tannin and protein content make for a clean flavor combined with a smooth finish. The hops are Willamette. (o.g. 1.054 IBUs 32)

RBSG 2007: Growler: Poured a clear light copper in color with a white head. Aroma, grassy with some pale malts. Flavor, pale malts, with some floral and grassy notes. Not so great.

RBSG 2007. Growler. The beer pours to a glassy amber body with no head. The aroma is pale malts (APA-ish) with some odd hops. Esters. The flavor is malty with toasted pale malts and light silage. The palate is sweet and grainy. So-so as a beer.

Rating 1059, On tap at the brewery in Nashville TN. The description on the menu was soooo strange I am going to submit it for a correction and hopefully it will get added. I mean seriously, so strange that from the description I wasnt sure if this was dishwater or a beer. </P> Clear with no bubbles. Ruby with no head. Nose is thin with slight hops. Is that cascade hops? Hops crisp thn quickly to a flat lager stale water syrup runoff. Then more to medium hoppy bitterness. Barely drinkable.

Had on draft. Poured a copper color and had a thin head. I couldn’t really pick anything out of this beer. It was enjoyable, but nothing stood out to make me want to order it again.

Draft 5 oz sample at the brewpub, 5/14/06: Golden orange with a thin veil. Crisp tartness in the bitterness. Nice exceptionally clean beer with no huskiness to a great malt basis. Very pleasant hoppy beer.

Caramel taffy colored beer. Soda like head. Nose is clean and toffeish. Slight red bell pepper as well. Flavors are too effervescent. Hard to make anything out other than an acrid bitterness from the CO2 and some lemony hops. Poor beer

(On tap) Cask conditioned. Amber coloured with an off-white head. Malty nose with an edge of caramel. Medium body with some caramel malt and some fantastic fresh and fruity aroma hops. A bit low in carbonation. Lovely. Served as an extra by the friendly waiter. 300306
