Jan 1, 2009 Fair example for style. Reddish clear brown and decent lacing. Aroma of toasted biscuit. As with some of their other beers, there is a good deal of alcohol burning despite being a relatively mild abv. Didnt pick up much nuttiness.

Dec 23, 2008 On tap. Coppery amber pour with a small white head. Nutty, woodsy aroma and taste. Strong and rather complex malt with a touch of oak and pecan shell bitterness. Very nice.

Nov 26, 2008 Bottle poured a clear copper brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of cocoa, carmel and nuts. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, carmel and light nuts with a smooth malty finish.

Oct 13, 2008 Updated: Jul 23, 2009Sampled at the 12th Annual Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. Clear amber brown with a frothy off white head. Sweet nutty aroma, dark creamy caramels, slight walnuts and cashews. Re-rate on tap at the brewery. Dark brown-red thin off white head. Aroma of nutty brown malts, caramel. Taste is nutty, chocolate, caramel, sweet malts and a bitter grassy finish. Original rating 6:4:6:4:13
