Commercial Description:
An American style amber ale which has its roots in a British ale called a "Bitter". However, this Ale is truly an American microbrewery style, with American hops which have a more floral aroma. Also the finish hops in an American style amber ale are more pronounced. (O.G. - 1.050 IBUs-29)

Pours a deep copper color with a tan head. Aroma is caramel, toast, floral, and slight grassy hop notes. Flavor is malty, caramel, some biscuit, and a bitter grassy, almost astringent, hop finish.

Sampled at Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition festival. Pours copper with a soapy tan head. The aroma has sweet toasty malt, nuttiness and overall clean smoothness. Medium crisp body with light carbonation. The flavor starts like the aroma, but is a bit metallic and medicinal. The finis is very minerally and a touch sour.

Dark amber with a beige head. Floral hop and sweet malt aroma. Floral hop and pine taste but finish is sweeter than bitter. An excellent amber with some hop kick.

2009 Tap. A lower end amber ale. Surprising amounts of hoppiness that clash with the malts that typically predominate amber ales. Aroma of strong hops with a light maltiness. Dark orange-brown with not much head. Not that great.
