Beautiful red color. Great floral hop aroma. A little more than is usually expected in a "Red Ale." In a city that is generally lacking in acceptable micro brews, this one stands far above the rest. Great restaurant and a great beer! BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 31, 2008 Rich, malty and reddish amber in coloring with a lovely off white head. Fresh, fruity hop nose, with some flowery honey notes as well. This is a great bitter defenitely made in a British tradition with an American hop twist. Smooth with a balanced mouthfeel and a dry, crisp finish. This one covers all the style bases, a definite home run. kevd193213 (509), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA

Sweet malty taste with a floral finish. Soft mouthfeel. I thought it was great on cask, but didn’t try the draught, which probably wasn’t quite so good.
