Wonderfully delightful, what a good porter should taste like. Dark and thick with a good maltiness, and a touch of hops. Very full rich body.

Nice dark brown pour with a decent gray head. Aroma is chocolate and powdered cocoa. A sweet brownie flavor with a floral counterpoint. Great mouthfeel, not thin as too many porters lean to IMO. A nice mocha like finish without the coffee or roast element. A damn fine porter. Ap-4 ar-7 tas-8 pal-5 ov-18

I'm givin' these guys lot's of love for stickin' their rednecks out there to brew this. I liked it. Don't let the TN fool you, this is an ass kickin' beer. Nice coffee taste and nutty mouthfeel. Best TN beer I've had.

Almost black with a slight head. Smooth and not over hopped as some west coast versions. More coffee than choc. with a nice finish.

Re-rate. On cask, Nashville Blackstone Restaurant. Poured dark brown, medium tan head., ruby highlights. Roasty, spicy nose, hint of floral hops. Flavor is roasty malt, with a nice hop balance leading to a mildly bitter finish. Wonderfully soft mouth feel, typical of cask-conditioned ales. In contrast, the tap version of this porter felt a bit thin.

GABF 2008. Deep copper brown. Nice aromas of cocoa and clay. Rich chocolate flavour with perfectly nuanced notes of roast, prunes, and mild earthy bitterness. Silky mouthfeel, medium bodied. An excellent porter indeed.

22oz bottle from Sean (illinismitty), Thanks! Best by date of 7/1/06 - consumed 07/20/2006. Pours out a dark brown reddish color with a thick creamy tan head. Smell is chocolate and full of coffee and roasted malts. Taste is thin and sweet. Refreshing, slightly watered down. Full of chocolate and coffee. Very nice, they should bottle this more, perhaps condition it too. Thanks Mr Lugauns
