Commercial Description:
Our Texas Brown Ale resembles a British brown ale, but in typical American style it has more everything: more hops, more malts, and more roast. This ale has a clean, dry finish balanced with caramel and chocolate malts.

GABF 2008. Clear dark brown. Nice bready caramel aroma. Bread crusts and caramel flavours, light fruit in the finish. Not fancy, but well done.

Draft at Blackstone. Very dark brown pour with thin foamy head. Light malty aroma with very little hops. Sweet malt flavor with nice nuttiness. A nice mild brown ale.

Draught. Pours dark mahogany with thin off-white head. The aroma is caramel with general malty sweetness in the background and some aromatic hops. The flavor is kind of hoppy, but not as rich as I was hoping. I could easily drink a few of these, but I guess I was expecting something more.

draught. Pours a deep, dark red with a flimsy white head. Fruity, chalky, spicy nose with a bit of raspberry. The flavor is pretty similar: hints of raspberry and an odd hoppiness. The malts are a bit weak for a brown but suggest dark chocolate. This is a pretty unique brown ale.
