Aroma - fermented apples, go figure. Unripe green apple flavour. Very dry mouthfeel. Not the greatest. Crockett (904), Steelback County, Ontario, Canada

I don't drink piles of cider, so it's good to rate whilst on-line. Hence, some slammage forth-coming in regards to the commercial description. How hard is it to grow some friggin' apples and turn that stuff into cider? Apple concentrate? Give me a break. Is this a home kit? The can is really nice powder coat black (even the tab). Sweetener seals the deal. And you can taste it. They must have to mention it for some reason. It does have a pretty sauternes pour. It also has some good simple malts, caramely start, and no silly perfuming. In the end this is just a bad product. It doesn't taste all that bad, it's just not all that good. mobilecow (14), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 6, 2004 500 ml can. Concentrated urine colour, aroma of apples (duh). Sweet then sour taste. Contains both sugar and artificial sweetner. Geez I wish I bothered to read more labels/cans in the store before buying. Kinz (2214), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA

Looks like a medium gold urine sample, yup, it's a cider. Faint aroma of apples. Dry apple flavors, almost a hint of vinegar at the end,, touched by a not of sulfur. OK, but not great. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 1, 2004 Updated: May 27, 2005Had this on draft at The Commercial Taphouse in Richmond VA on 12-31-03. Golden brown with little head. Nose is apples and sugar along with a hint of spice. The taste was a letdown. It seemed a little flat but the apple taste wasn’t straightforward enough and there was a processed taste to it. There also seemed to be some hint of paper or cardboard to it. Finished a little dry but I’ve had better ciders in the past and this did nothing for me. Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 26, 2003 Nice golden color, small head that faded very quickly leaving nothing behind.Decent carbonation,Over ripe apple aroma, maybe some pear in there as well. The flavor comes off as sweet apple with a slight sour side towards the end with a funky flavor that is hard to describe but doesn't seem to hurt the over all experience of the brew. The finish is dry slightly sweet apple.A decent brew but i know there are better ciders out there, but this will do in a pinch if your on a cider binge and have nothing else to fill the craving. lipskin (38), Youngstown, Ohio, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Dec 11, 2003 Oakes nailed it. If you've ever made wine then you know the funky taste of sulfites. This cider smells like it and tastes like it. Seems that there might be a very nice cider lingering underneath, though.
