Commercial Description:
Blanche De Brooklyn, a traditional Belgian-style white beer, or biere blanche, is named after its striking pale color. Blanche de Brooklyn, formerly a seasonal product, is now available year-round. White beers are made with a traditional dose of coriander seed and Curacao orange peel added during the boil for extra snappy flavor. Brewmaster Garrett Oliver also adds his own secret selection of spices of Blanche de Brooklyn.

on tap at summits SS: this was not exciting. this had a weak thin palate and nto much flavor to speak of. astringent arome like crushed aspirin, and some wheat with some light lemonade flavor. tasted more like a hefe than the hefe did though. none of the tanginess i usually get from witbiers. would love to have this from a bottle sometime to compare.

On tap, labelled as Brooklyn White Ale. Cloudy pale golden color, white head. Quite spicy, lots of orange peel and coriander, even for the style. A bit wheaty as well. If it were any more spicy it would be unbalanced but as it is, it’s fine. Light to medium bodied. Nice summer beer.

With a huge fluffy white head topping its cloudy maize body, this beer is a wonderful sight to behold. A classic textbook example of a Belgian-styled wit beer, Brooklyn’s version is spot on, and more flavorful than most US versions. Not overly dry in the finish, the brew balances quenchability and flavor making it a superb summertime treat.

Sweet wheaty aroma greets the drinker with a hint of citrus. Flavor was much of the same with bananna coming through along with some nice citrus notes. I enjoyed it with my only knock being that the beer was a bit thin and watery. Other than that a solid beer during summer.

Fully believe that I would have a much higher regard had I not had to get 2 ounce samples - even though I was able to get about six of them as I was the only one there asking. I still say that this fashion limits the ability to bring out all the qualities from aroma to flavor. But I believe I did finally get there and this is a very nice representation with many fine qualities - refreshing, lemony, but maybe just a little thin.

Has the cloudy yellow apperance associated with belgian whites. Straw is dominant in the flavor with a slight spice flavor. In my opinion, it could use more of the spice.

A hazy pale yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is wheaty combined with lots of lemon. The flavor is very fresh wheaty combined with notes of lemon adn lime, but the body is thin. Probably good on a hot summer day in the sun.

Hazy yellow beer with a nice white head. Wheaty and light citric aroma with hints of coriander. Flavor has a nice fruityness with notes of yeast.
