Commercial Description:
Blanche De Brooklyn, a traditional Belgian-style white beer, or biere blanche, is named after its striking pale color. Blanche de Brooklyn, formerly a seasonal product, is now available year-round. White beers are made with a traditional dose of coriander seed and Curacao orange peel added during the boil for extra snappy flavor. Brewmaster Garrett Oliver also adds his own secret selection of spices of Blanche de Brooklyn.

Draught @ KØ 2005: Yellow coloured. Unclear. White medium sized head. Light wheat notes and spices dominate this beer. Is light acidic and citric. Banana flavours can be sensed. Has a fruity and light spiced yeastiness in the end. Quite nice without beeing a world class beer.

Draught at DBF 2005. Hazy pale yellow coloured with a white head. Very fruity aroma with lots of citrus and bananas and notes of cariander and pepper. Spicy flavour with lots of citrus. Interesting, but not one of my favorites.

(on tap)light, hazy, yellow. strong aroma of banana and sulphor. Watery, yeasted taste. Godd fresh carbonation and the corianderammount is nicely balanced; really fresh summerpour.

(On tap) As indicated by the "Blanche" tag this is a wheat by Belgian standards, therefore very pale in appearance with prominent touches of coriander and orange peel. A seasonal for the hotter months - and only on tap. Fresh and very fruity and a formidable thirstquencher. In a plastic mug at "Brooklyn Pig Fest" this beer may not have the most prominent appearance, but it doesn’t hide the fact, that this is an excellent Belgian Wheat which has beaten Hoegarden Wit in several competitions.

Hazy looks, decent white head. Very wheaty nose with a big creamy component. Somehow lactic on the tongue, tarter than most anyway. Well balanced witbier with well pronounced orange peel and corianger flavors. Mild spicy bitter finish enhances the drinkability even more. The rather complex aroma makes it a good take on the style by itself.

Draught at Blind Tiger Ale House, New York.
Yellow beer with a fine white head. Yeast, hay and straw in the aroma, also some spices. Fresh and somewhat triple-like. Mild hayish and flowery flavor with citrus tones. A nice witbier.

Although this is not a seasonal summer beer it sure taste like one. I am a huge fan of summer beers and absolutly love this beer. It pours to medium head with a very pale yellow color. Has a fruity lemony citris bite blended very well with spices. A must try if you like light summersih beers.
