Pale yellow beer with a thin white head and a bit of lacing. Faint lemony citrus aroma. Flavor was also lemony, smooth and lightly tart. Certainly not the best witbier, but different and somewhat interesting. Odd in many ways. BeerBlockaid (548), Jacksonville, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 5, 2005 bottle : 3 - 12 - 99 ..... Cloudy Yellow pour with lots of debris. I mean Jesus must have shook his dandruff in this batch before bottling. Small head. Mildly fizzy..Smooth orange and lemon aroma and taste with a smite of apple. Also wheat and some sugar. A little soapy. This was a random beer I picked up along with another random beer that must have made it into the stock by accident. hooray!. The bottle has been recycled(the wear) which is a rare site stateside. I will agree with the reviews prior about the age taking away from what otherwise might have been a better beer.......****Cool. My rating gave it an over-all Percentile of 29 from nothing**** JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 19, 2004 1999 little bottle with the funny label, a handwritten "5" right under where the waters meet(?). Cloudy yellowish amber with fast rising bubbles, fizzy. Loads of orange and lemon in the nose, but also some strange cardboard nastiness lurking underneath. Fizzy and spritzy, citrusy and starchy. Wheatiness is long in the middle, that papery off taste comes in at the finish. Not as bad as I suspected, I also see that the new bottles are 12 ouncers, but no longer distributed stateside, which is a shame because their website shows many styles brewed! | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 7, 2004 Batch 03-12-99 Aroma of freshly squeezed orange juice. Bright yellow pour, looks like champagne, wtih fewer bubbles and a few chunks floating about. Slight white spritzy head. Tart, lemony flavor, lifeless mouthfeel. Age has probably gotten the better of this one. argo0 (6969), Washington DC, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 6, 2004 (250ml, 1999(?)) Cloudy lemon body with medium white head. Aroma is medium sweet, wheat, orange. Taste is medium sweet, orange, wheat. The probable age of this beer may explain the lack of crispness or tartness. MikeF (528), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
