Aromas are sweet and fruity with hops spices and alcohol fumes. Flavours are grain, pear and caramel with sweet pine. Syrupy on the palate. A decent strong ale. Darkish brown beer with a general aroma and a flavour that is well ohpped, has a caramel dry finish and a slightly malty edge. Overall a good sweet and strong tasting beer. maeib (4723), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

A mid brown beer with a nice strong, fruity smell. The taste is malty and alcoholic. A well brewed tasty strong beer which I would characterize as an English Strong. A decent bitter with a refreshing and natural orange flavour. A tad too much yeast has resulted in a lively head, and a yeasty flavour, though I'm quite happy with that - it gives the beer character and life. Very decent.
