A Sim rate (Cask at PBF): Weirdo beer. Strong tasting and wine like finish. Raisins and perfume in the aroma. Flat with tipex thinner in the flavour.

Cask, Leicester Beer Fest 05. Amber with a small white head. Aromas are sweet and fruity with hops spices and alcohol fumes. Flavours are grain, pear and caramel with sweet pine. Syrupy on the palate. A decent strong ale.

Cask@Leicester Beer Festival. Darkish brown beer with a general aroma and a flavour that is well ohpped, has a caramel dry finish and a slightly malty edge. Overall a good sweet and strong tasting beer.

Cask conditioned - no sparkler - Malt Shovel Northampton. A mid brown beer with a nice strong, fruity smell. The taste is malty and alcoholic. A well brewed tasty strong beer which I would characterize as an English Strong.

Bottle Conditioned. From Bottles, London. BBE August 2004. A decent bitter with a refreshing and natural orange flavour. A tad too much yeast has resulted in a lively head, and a yeasty flavour, though I'm quite happy with that - it gives the beer character and life. Very decent.
