TAR (2011), Boulder Co., Colorado, USA Dec 15, 2004 Draft: Charred ruby. Tiny-bubbled carbonation with a sticky tan head. Attractive nose of soft, woody roast, diacetyl, lactose, sorghum, and bittersweet chocolate. Cinnamon, leather, and prune undertones. Soft, slippery body. Low carbonation. Soothingly mellow and quaffable with a yogurty understatement quickly submitting to a core of nougat and coarsening roast. Buttery and briskly grainy with cushioning hints of pale malt lushness sandwiched between a beautiful level of lactic acidity and balancing airiness. Subdued finish displays sustained nougat, sorghum, and shoe polish notes, which eventually recede into a muted mesh of date and vanilla hints. Unique and tasty, aside from its extremely subtle demeanor and strength lacking finish. Cask-conditioned, this would be ideal. PhillyBeer2112 (1879), Orange Park, Florida, USA Nov 15, 2004 I sure would like to get all Christopher Walken on this one, loving it so much I’d have to proclaim "I need more cow bell!!", but its not to be. Its not bad by any means, just a slightly above average offering from Bling Tiger. Dark black, dense head. Light roast, some coffee in the nose. Caramel and milk chocolate flavors meld in the mouth. Smooth, a nice one.
