The beer pours to a pitch black body with a thin off-white head. The aroma is huge. Tons of nice coffee. Wow! The flavor is richly roasted coffee. Noticeable barley components. Tasty. Nice lingering coffee. The palate is medium-full bodied. Theis (3792), Denmark

This was a great coffee beer and is very underrated on this site in my opinion. Darkest brown in color with a lasting tan head. Aroma is awesome with coffee and roast as well as a little vanilla. Flavor is mainly coffee, supported by roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, and vanilla. Palate is smooth and creamy with medium body and not very much astringency for a coffee beer. Very good overall. DJMonarch (6941), Northwich, Cheshire, England

Taste is straight up latte. Smooth and robust. Bitter coffee aftertaste. No wonder it got a medal in this category. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma and flavor of chocolate-covered espresso beans and light hoppy notes. Nice medium-full body that is not over the top to violate the style and push this to a stout. A very solid, enjoyable coffee porter.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 3, 2005 Huge coffee aroma, malt some roastiness. Deep black with a limp head. Strong acidic coffee fore that finishes with sweet creamy malt flavors and has an ample roastiness through the whole affair. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA
