Commercial Description:
Amber Ale brewed with Wild Maine Blueberries.
An amber ale brewed with all natural ingredients, including real wild blueberries and wild blueberry juice from the State of Maine this beer has a light crisp body and subtle wild blueberry aroma and taste, but is not sweet like many fruit beers. These characteristics have made the beer popular with all age groups, especially young adults and make the beer a popular part of many beer cocktails and mixed beer drinks. For instance, many people enjoy the beer as a part of a “Black and Blue;” an alternative to a “Black and Tan".

Small short-lived white head. Fairly clear red-orange body. Has a really nice blueberry/berry licorice aroma with a touch of hops. The blueberry aspect isn’t great, but I like the aroma in general... reminds me of the Great Dane Barleywine. The high opinion drops with the taste. Its a bit watery at the start (and throughout I suppose). There seems to be just a basic blueberry sweet aspect with slight bitterness in there. At the finish, it all fades into a blueberry aftertaste. It isn’t bad tasting, but there is nothing standing out in it.

Dull amber with little head out of the bottle. Artificial blueberry aroma. Seemed very thin and watery. It was easy to drink, but the flavors didn’t seem well balanced. No need to drink this again.

Strong blueberry aromas, golden color. Very funky metalic taste that is slightly sweet. Strong blueberry aftertaste...interesting beer, not exceptional.

Pours copper with little or no head. Very pleasant blueberry aroma to the nose and a tolerable, but thin, taste of blueberry. Not bad but nothing great.

Very nice pop-tart aroma, but that's where the thrill ends. Lame label and bottle, PA-colored beer. Not very hoppy, very lightly sweet, a bit tannic. Palate is watery, quick finish.

The aroma is delicious on this one - smells like freshly baked blueberry muffins. Dark copper appearance with a slight off-white head - good lacing. Flavor is flat compared to the aroma. Blueberry taste is most prominent and it is blended in pretty well but it just does not finish well. Has a slight stale taste to it. A bit metallic on the back end.

Pours amber with a small white head. Smells good, like blueberry candy. The taste is where it falls apart. To replicate the taste, I think you could coat a blue Otter Pop with hairspray, and eat it plastic and all. Not a real good taste.

Slightly hazy dark amber with a light foamy white head. Lightly fruity nose with hints of old cheese - somewhat disturbing. Lightly phenolic smelling with a light citrus note. The body is quite fruity with a very light blueberry presence. Dries throughout with a light plastickey fruitiness. Not a very good try here.
