Of course, the sweet blueberry is in the flavor, but that's not all - it was accompanied by a doughy malt that ended with some caramel/chocolate and a bit of hops. Peach, apricot, but no blueberry flavour. Wonderfully smooth and creamy. Tasty and so refreshing! BBB63 (4271), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 23, 2003 Orange colored with little head, thin body. Aroma of blueberries is very noticeable. The taste was not nearly as fruity as expected. Mild blueberry taste upon a mild pale ale. Not much depth or complexity. Faint aftertaste. I've had better blueberry flavored beers than this, a less than average fruit beer. Steak (124), New York, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | May 1, 2003 Huge aroma of blueberries, and to me it was pretty stale, like a blueberry extract or some fake blueberries and syrup. Nicely colored in a medium amber. On looks alone you could switch this beer with a variety of others and play a good joke on someone. But then again, they would smell the stuff a mile away. A bit thick and syrupy, very little hops, which was a good thing, and not much to it besides blueberries. I guess if you like blueberries, go for it, but if you don't then stay away. I suppose that could be a good thing if I were rating soda, but this was supposedly an ale. If you want an alcoholic soda water, go for it. If not, stick with a real ale. bac080 (398), Boardman, Ohio, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 14, 2003 One of the best beers I've ever had. It has a great blueberry taste- only avoid if you don't like blueberries. Nuffield (2728), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 8, 2003 It was a musty bar, with all that goes with it, but I smelled BLUEBERRY! from a foot away, even from a 4 oz. shotglass sampler! Still, it was slightly fake as far as it went. Amber golden color. Flavor of blueberry, to be sure, but also much more mediocre. Mineral water-style carbonation. Still, decent and interesting. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 18, 2003 Amber color with a smaller light cream colored head. Blueberry extract aroma along with a touch of malt. A pale ale with a blueberry hint. The aroma seem to flavor this one more than the actual taste.
