Commercial Description:
Amber Ale brewed with Wild Maine Blueberries.
An amber ale brewed with all natural ingredients, including real wild blueberries and wild blueberry juice from the State of Maine this beer has a light crisp body and subtle wild blueberry aroma and taste, but is not sweet like many fruit beers. These characteristics have made the beer popular with all age groups, especially young adults and make the beer a popular part of many beer cocktails and mixed beer drinks. For instance, many people enjoy the beer as a part of a “Black and Blue;” an alternative to a “Black and Tan".

Wow! what a great blueberry beer - great aroma, nice dark color with a hint of blue around the edges. Of course, the sweet blueberry is in the flavor, but that's not all - it was accompanied by a doughy malt that ended with some caramel/chocolate and a bit of hops.

On tap at the Bodega, Lacrosse WI. Artificial berry aroma, copper, with a large custard head. Peach, apricot, but no blueberry flavour. Wonderfully smooth and creamy. Tasty and so refreshing!

Orange colored with little head, thin body. Aroma of blueberries is very noticeable. The taste was not nearly as fruity as expected. Mild blueberry taste upon a mild pale ale. Not much depth or complexity. Faint aftertaste. I've had better blueberry flavored beers than this, a less than average fruit beer.

Huge aroma of blueberries, and to me it was pretty stale, like a blueberry extract or some fake blueberries and syrup. Nicely colored in a medium amber. On looks alone you could switch this beer with a variety of others and play a good joke on someone. But then again, they would smell the stuff a mile away. A bit thick and syrupy, very little hops, which was a good thing, and not much to it besides blueberries. I guess if you like blueberries, go for it, but if you don't then stay away.

Ratebeer back online? If you say so...this ale tasted like Clearly Canadian. I suppose that could be a good thing if I were rating soda, but this was supposedly an ale. If you want an alcoholic soda water, go for it. If not, stick with a real ale.

One of the best beers I've ever had. It has a great blueberry taste- only avoid if you don't like blueberries.

It was a musty bar, with all that goes with it, but I smelled BLUEBERRY! from a foot away, even from a 4 oz. shotglass sampler! Still, it was slightly fake as far as it went. Amber golden color. Flavor of blueberry, to be sure, but also much more mediocre. Mineral water-style carbonation. Still, decent and interesting. (on tap, Clark Street Ale House, Chicago, IL)

Amber color with a smaller light cream colored head. Blueberry extract aroma along with a touch of malt. A pale ale with a blueberry hint. The aroma seem to flavor this one more than the actual taste.
